High and Low Shutter Speeds

Questions

1. What part of the body should we closely relate aperture? eye
2. Finish this sentence - the smaller the Aperture the more blurry it going to be , the higher the Aperture the lighter its going to get .
3. In your own words tell me how aperture impacts Depth of Field? At large apertures, image forming light converges obliquely on the film plane. At small apertures it approximates more closely to parallel rays. 4. With the camera near you - tell me ALL of the F stops available on the lens currently attached.

Africa

1. My reactions were "ohh" and most of the pictures were interesting to me and how the photographer took these pictures from angles and shots.
2.My favorite photo is the lion looking in the distance to the right of the photo.
3.
A. He photographs on medium-format black and white film without telephoto or zoom lenses. (He uses a Pentax 67II with only two fixed lenses.)
B. What I am interested in is showing the animals simply in the state of Being. In the state of Being before they are no longer are. Before, in the wild at least, they cease to exist. This world is under terrible threat, all of it caused by us. To me, every creature, human or nonhuman, has an equal right to live, and this feeling, this belief that every animal and I are equal, affects me every time I frame an animal in my camera.
C"You wouldn't take a portrait of a human being from a hundred feet away and expect to capture their spirit; you'd move in close.

Academic Shoot reflection

1. I didnt really encounter any challenges because i mostly thought about just taking these pictures in time so i can say i took my pictures for today.
2. I found myself thinking most about focusing the pictures and not making them blury.
3.If i could do this assignment again then i would be more focused more about the six rules of photography and take the pictures i need to take.
4. the things that i would so the same would probably be just be taking random pictures of random people.
5.I would think the rule(s) would be the easiest would be avoiding mergers or simplicity
6.The hardest rule to capture would be lines because i kinda understand it but taking the picture of lines would be most difficult.
7.The rule that im not comfortabe with is the rule of lines because i dont really know by heart what it means but, for me to understand more about it is if someone would show me examples about lines.

Framing

1. i followed the rule well because the girl staring out outside and the frame you can clearly tell is the window.
2. the subject is the girl in between the window looking outside.
3. I dont know if they will know what the subject is but i hopefully think they will.
4 If i didnt follow the rule well enough then i would look hard to look for framing positions well for my subject.

Rule OF Thirds

1. i think i kinda followed the rule because i pictured the three lines onto the picture and thought the girl on the bottom left corner looked as if she was in the bottom corner.
2. the subject(s) are three but i chose 1 out of those three and that was the girl on the bottom left corner.
3. i think it wouldnt be clear to people to know what the subject is because theres three subjects and they would be confused to see whos the real subject.
4. If i didnt follow the rule correctly then i would just take random pictures and hopefully one of those picture comes to the rule of 3rds.

Simplicity

1.i guess i followed the rule well because i focused on one person and not distracting viewers who are looking at this photo meaning looking at whatevers in the backround.
2. You are supposed to clearly see my subject is a sleeping student in class.
3. It should be very clear to the people who look at this photo who the subject is or suppose to be.
4.If i didnt follow this rule quite well than i would take a picture of one person with nothing in the backround.

Balance

1. I followed this rule very well because balance is that this picture is leveled.
2. the subject(s) is these 2 people on both sides of this picture.
3.it should be very clear to people to know what the subject is as 1 of the rule of thirds is balance
4.if i didnt follow the rule quite well than i would go somewhere and take a balanced picture to take for balance.

Avoiding Merger

1. i think i followed the rule because these females helped me out with this rule because apperntly they have photo j.
2. The subject(s) are these two females helping me out with avoiding merger.
3. this picture is very clear to what the subject(s) is to people looking at this photo.
4. If i failed to do this rule i would get two people like this picture to do the same thing.

Welcome To My Blog

Action and Emotion

The action is that you can tell from this nerd is that shes bored from reading all these books. The emotion is the same thing is that shes bored and emotionly shes probably thinking about something else than reading and all the books is like its going to take forever to finish these.

Most Interesting Stuff

The action of this photo is a very interesting photo because from looking at this photo you can tell that they are doing some very interesting stuff from science and i bet that there thinking that whatevere there doing is awesome and entertaining to there people.

The Story

I think this tells a story because whatever is happening means that theres always a story behing every picture maybe not all of them but mostly there is. I think the story behind this picture is that they are doing a lab on something that has to do with water because you can clearly tell theres water evrywhere as in drops. and somehow the water explodes because of a chemical/chemicals that these girls have put in there.

"post shoot reflection"

1. the challenges i've encountered while taking the 3 prompts which were red, metal, and grumpy and the challenged i had to overcome were " what things could i take a picture of red, metal, and grumpy." And the hard one was grumpy because you couldn't take a picture of your own partner.

2. The tecnical aspects of photography i though of the most were the right amount of zoom and approachment of what i am taking my picture of.

3. if i could do this assignment again i would've done is take pictures correctly.

4. the things would probably be the same because i wouldn't think of what pictures i could take.

5. Red- i dont think i didnt follow any rules. Grumpy- i think i followed the rule of thirds or maybe close to being rule of thirds. Metal- i followed simplicity because you suppose to clearly see the metal.

6. i wouldn't be interested in doing these prompts again because now that i experienced these prompts i might think their boring and not my interest so i wouldn't take any pictures.

Framing

Lines

this represents one of the 6 of simplicity and it represents lines.

Rule of thirds

Metal

this photo was tooken outside of the gym and it was metal so i decided to take a picture of it.

Red

i took a picture that meant red which was the red hall because its red and the red hall is part of the school which means learning.

Grumpy

as you can see i posted mr girard as grumpy because hes a grumpy person in a similar way.

Bastrop Fires

This impacted me the most because it makes you wonder "who or what started this humungous fire in austin and maybe losing hope to stop the fire. It also destroyes more than 1000 homes and wonder how are they going to live without a home. it devestates me because of all the animals that have died and are going to die in the large amount of fire in bastrop.

aperture- its a hole in the lens in which the light travels through the lens and exposes the film.
shutter-is a device that allows light to pass for a determined period of time, for the purpose of exposing photographic film or a light-sensitive electronic sensor to light to capture a permanent image of a scene
exposure- In photography, exposure is the total density of light allowed to fall on the photographic medium (photographic film or image sensor) during the process of taking a photograph
depth of field- its directly related to the size of the aperture and determines how much of the image is in focus
F-stop- The "f-3.5-f8" is called the F-stop or the maximum aperture of the lens. This figure is derived from dividing the focal length of the lens by the aperture opening of the lens
focal length-is a measure of how strongly the system converges (focuses) or diverges (defocuses) light

The Camera

lenses are actually comprised of several "lens elements." Each of these elements directs the path of light rays to recreate the image as accurately as possible on the digital sensor. The lens is the eyes of camera that sees the image.

The image sensor is very important to the camera because it captures an image and it converts it to a digital file that is stored in a memory card.

A diaphragm is placed in the light path of a lens or objective.

The Camera

this is visible spectrum meaning the light that reflects from your eyes to the object that is colored
