Newspaper Notes

Broadsheets can be wide and long and the other style called tabloyd which is a smaller size than the broadsheet becuase theres two different types of sizes.
On a broadsheet newspaper there are going to be 3-5 stories on the front page of the newspaper. News Value is the most important story on the front page of the newpaper. The Flag is the name of the newspaper and the second Element is the Teasers is to try to get your attention. and Teasers do not have to have pictures. Folio Name, Date , Motto/ Slogan. some newpapers might have price tags and have a recycle picture meaning you can recycle the newspaper. The Headline should be written from the first paragraph. Sub-headline tells us more about the story and it mainly comes from the additional paragraphs. you should have at least 1 Sub-headline in each page. By-Lines is the Person who wrote it and their Position their in.
Your newspaper should have pictures and one of the Picures should be bigger than the rest to show that, that picture is the most News Value than the rest. Caption has three parts which are Caption Head,  Photo-by, actual caption itself.  Caption is to tell about the photo and needs to be a teaser to the audience. to tell the Backround information. Captions are usually 2 sentences. Need to know is to write more than two sentences which would be more backround information and a "Quote." Additional information are not in the story.  Table of contents, Volume Number, Issue Number. The Staff Box/ Masthead. Editorial policy, The Staff.
