Touching People

1. i think that this project is kind of creepy if you think about it because you don't random/strange people just touching you for like no reason that's awkwar. the photo eassy is also creepy and weird because they are talking about when you ask two people to touch each other they are going to either hold hands or put their arms aroung them.

2. i would probably say no unless its a pretty girl or just any girl then im fine, but otherwise no because i don't want to "touch" a dude that i never seen before and for me i would think its "gay" not to offend anyone but im not "gay " so i would rather not take a photo touching a stranger like i said unless its a pretty girl then i'm ok with that.

3. i would think that putting a guy and a girl that dont know each other making out.

4. what i thought of the photography was it was great and all, but to me still kind of creepy. i would think that the photographer didn't think about the rules about photograhy because to me i make it seem that they just take pictures and thats it. he took pictures of two random people touching each other.

Portfolios

1. Nick Adams
stories
cut part of some pictures, focusing on the people in the photos, zooming in
the judges like the composition and lighting.
my overall impression is that the story photos and how the photos looked and that we can see what were looking at. i didnt like some pictures because you want to see what is the main focus but you cant because the photographers cut some of those features from the photos.

2. Dustin Snipes
they like the compositioning of the first photo
they liked the angle he took it from
liked how everyone is doin something
what i saw strengths were how he and where to take these photos and they were from angles that i liked. i agreed with the judges on how good these photos were, but i didnt see any weaknesses.

3. they looked at all the photos of each runner-up and they go through each photo and decides whats wrong with them and how the photographer could've changed the photo to make it look better. and then looked at which pictures look the same which to them they find them boring and didnt make the cut.

1. the one photo i thought was cool and that the judges agreed on was the picture with a female tennis player wearing an orange shirt but you can't see her face and her tennis racket flew out of her hand.

2. There's one photo that i didnt agree with the judges on which was the photo with a half of a football player which is kind of weird and i didnt like it because the player shouldnt be playing because he really cant do nothing not even run and i disagree with the judges because they said they were supporting him but for him not to be allowed to play i agree because it doesnt look right have a half of a football player playing.

Earthquake

when i saw this photo i was amazed on what a tsunami can do to japan and it is so amazing, but yet how difficult it is when it hits your belongings because it would take years to rebulid everything. there are rules here like lines.

this is sad having people to sleep with everyone and you dont even know the people sleeping around you so that could be difficult even if you are claustrophobic because you might go crazy or something. this rule would be rule of thirds and balance.

this is an inspiring picture because of all the damage the tsunami did to people's houses and its horrifying to look at because you are going to be homless for a while and i would hate to be homeless because im now used to live like that. this rule would be avoiding merger.

Newspaper Notes

Broadsheets can be wide and long and the other style called tabloyd which is a smaller size than the broadsheet becuase theres two different types of sizes.
On a broadsheet newspaper there are going to be 3-5 stories on the front page of the newspaper. News Value is the most important story on the front page of the newpaper. The Flag is the name of the newspaper and the second Element is the Teasers is to try to get your attention. and Teasers do not have to have pictures. Folio Name, Date , Motto/ Slogan. some newpapers might have price tags and have a recycle picture meaning you can recycle the newspaper. The Headline should be written from the first paragraph. Sub-headline tells us more about the story and it mainly comes from the additional paragraphs. you should have at least 1 Sub-headline in each page. By-Lines is the Person who wrote it and their Position their in.
Your newspaper should have pictures and one of the Picures should be bigger than the rest to show that, that picture is the most News Value than the rest. Caption has three parts which are Caption Head,  Photo-by, actual caption itself.  Caption is to tell about the photo and needs to be a teaser to the audience. to tell the Backround information. Captions are usually 2 sentences. Need to know is to write more than two sentences which would be more backround information and a "Quote." Additional information are not in the story.  Table of contents, Volume Number, Issue Number. The Staff Box/ Masthead. Editorial policy, The Staff.

Front Pages Of The Worlds

1. my favorite newspaper front would be Daily News from Los Angeles, California because the pictures and wording are balanced which it would be something to be interested in because theres not too many photos and not too many wording in the newspaper.

2. Rivals Snipe On Eve of Primary because i think just because of the headline you could probably tell it might interest you because the word SNIPE could mean a shooting which that would mostly interests us.

3.There are like 4 or 5 stories from the newspaper i like.

4. i would have to guess the important stories would be in big dark bold letters i would have to assume.

5. things that vary in different pages of the newspaper would probably be a little tiny summary of a small story.
